About Catholic Syrian Bank

The bank was formed in November 1920 in Thrissur while it commenced its operations in January 1921. For the first two decades the bank remained concentrated in Kerala. In August 1969, the bank was included in the second schedule to The Reserve Bank of India’s Act 1934. In 1975, it achieved the status of “A” class scheduled bank. Currently, the bank has a network of 431 branches and 233 ATMs across India. The bank is also planning to open more branches in a phased manner.
